Terms and Conditions for Taxischool Limited

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Taxischool Limited ("we," "our," or "us"), including our live and online courses. By enrolling in our courses or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms may be updated from time to time without prior notification. You should check these Terms periodically for updates.

  1. Live Courses (4 Week Course and 1 Day Intensive Course)

1.1 Purpose of the Course
Our live courses are designed to aid students in preparing for the Small Public Service Vehicle (SPSV) Exam. While the vast majority of our students pass the exam on their first attempt, we cannot guarantee specific test results as success depends heavily on the time and effort each student dedicates to their studies.

Our courses are meant to be sold to individuals. Sharing its content is not permitted.

1.2 Refund Policy
(a) For the 4 Week Course:
• The deposit becomes non-refundable from 7 days before the start date of the course.
• The balance paid on the day of the first class is non-refundable under any circumstances.

(b) For the 1 Day Intensive Course:
• The deposit becomes non-refundable from 7 days before the course date.
• The balance paid on the day of the class is non-refundable under any circumstances.

1.3 Missed Classes Policy
If a student is unable to attend any class during the 4 Week Course or misses class during the 1 Day Intensive Course they have signed up for, the study material for the missed class will be emailed to them. However, the student will not be permitted to attend the missed class (or classes) in any subsequent session or batch. This policy ensures consistency in course scheduling and accommodates all enrolled students fairly.

 

  1. Online Courses (Home Study Course, Online Live Course and App)

2.1 Purpose of the Course
Our online courses are intended to assist students in their preparation for the SPSV Exam. While we strive for student success, we cannot guarantee test results, as achievement depends on the individual’s commitment to their studies.

Our courses are meant to be sold to individuals. Sharing its content is not permitted.

It is only possible to book an Online Live Course on Zoom if you have signed up for our Home Study Course or App.

2.2 Each student can sign up for only 1 county at a time.

2.3 Refund Policy
(a) Home Study Course:
• The €199 course fee becomes non-refundable as soon as the study material is sent to the student’s email.
- The €99 extra course fee for students who book an online live class in addition to the Home Study Course becomes non-refundable 7 days before the online class date.

(b) App:
• The €99 fee for the App is non-refundable under any circumstances, as we cannot cancel an App subscription once activated.
• Renewal of the App subscription, if purchased on its own (€99 fee), is €50. This amount is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- The €99 extra course fee for students who book an online live class in addition to the App becomes non-refundable 7 days before the online class date.

  1. Website Use and Information

3.1 Purpose
The Taxischool Limited website provides information about our courses and services and allows users to submit queries. By accessing the website, you agree to use it for personal and non-commercial purposes only.

3.2 User Obligations
You agree not to post or send any material through the website that is defamatory, offensive, or violates any laws or third-party rights. Any information or material you send to us will be deemed non-confidential, and by submitting it, you grant us an unrestricted license to use, reproduce, and distribute it for any purpose.

3.3 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Taxischool Limited against any claims or damages arising from your misuse of the website or breach of these Terms.

  1. Data Protection Notice

Taxischool Limited is committed to protecting your personal data and complying with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR. By enrolling in our courses or accessing our services, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. For more information on how we handle your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy or contact us directly.

  • Fees- €500 for 4 Week Course
    - €299 for 1 Day Intensive Course
    - €199 for 1 Day Intensive Course - Industry Knowledge only or Area Knowledge only
    - €199 for Home Study Course
    - €149 for Home Study Course (Area Knowledge only, exclusively for students who have already passed their Industry Knowledge test)
    - €99 for App subscription of 60 days (any subscription renewals cost €50 for an additional 60 day subscription)
    - €99 for online live class for students who have signed up for the Home Study Course or App
  1. Responsibilities

Taxischool Limited will seek to enable students to improve their understanding and performance for the SPSV Exam. Remarkable results can be achieved where students follow a clear study plan in a committed way. However, students have sole responsibility for their success. Taxischool Limited has no liability for any loss incurred by any student, whether financial or otherwise, or for any perceived failure by the student, whether justified or otherwise, to achieve success in the SPSV Exam or desired outcomes.

  1. Changes to SPSV Exam Format

The National Transport Authority reserves the right to modify the SPSV Exam format at any time without prior notice. Taxischool Limited is not liable for any changes made to the exam format and does not provide refunds of course fees in such cases.

  1. Variation of Terms and Conditions

Taxischool Limited reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions, including course fees, by giving students one week’s notice in writing (by email). If you no longer wish to proceed with our services following receipt of such notification, you may withdraw immediately by giving notice in writing (by email or letter). You will then be entitled to a full refund of any fees paid in advance for services not yet provided. Such notice will be effective on receipt by Taxischool Limited.

  1. Test Outcomes

Taxischool Limited does not issue refunds of course fees in the event of a student failing the SPSV Exam, under any circumstances.

  1. Disclaimer

10.1 No Guarantees
Taxischool Limited provides its courses and website services "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free content. All warranties, conditions, or representations not expressly stated are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

10.2 Liability Limitations
Taxischool Limited and its affiliates shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of income, profits, or data, arising from the use of our courses or website. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute, disagreement, proceedings, or legal claim of any nature relating to the service provided or these Terms and Conditions.

  1. General Terms

12.1 Amendments
Taxischool Limited reserves the right to amend these Terms without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

12.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
